Sorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn )

Verses Number 30

وَالْفَجْرِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 1
By the dawn
وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 2
And [by] ten nights
وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 3
And [by] the even [number] and the odd
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 4
And [by] the night when it passes,
هَلْ فِي ذَلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِي حِجْرٍSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 5
Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 6
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -
إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 7
[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلادِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 8
The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 9
And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الأَوْتَادِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 10
And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -
الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا فِي الْبِلادِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 11
[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 12
And increased therein the corruption.
فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 13
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 14
Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
فَأَمَّا الإِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 15
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."
وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 16
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."
كَلاَّ بَل لّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 17
No! But you do not honor the orphan
وَلا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 18
And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلا لَّمًّاSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 19
And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّاSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 20
And you love wealth with immense love.
كَلاَّ إِذَا دُكَّتِ الأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّاSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 21
No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -
وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّاSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 22
And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,
وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الإِنسَانُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّكْرَىSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 23
And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?
يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِيSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 24
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 25
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
وَلا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 26
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].
يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 27
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
ارْجِعِي إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةًSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 28
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِيSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 29
And enter among My [righteous] servants
وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِيSorah Al-Fajr ( The Dawn ) Verse Number 30
And enter My Paradise."
